Community Approach

Societal approach meant that the approach we use in studying the social sciences by taking the community as the focus of discussion. This means that all components of the program is taken from and directed to the public. Thus, the purpose instructional, the process of teaching materials and learning activities of children, media, and community evaluations involving more than material taken from textbooks or the concepts of scientific disciplines. Basically, this approach focuses on social issues and conflicts, both national and international local. 

Teaching with relevant community approach to good for everyone concerned. Start of school children who can not only work on selected aspects of social issues, but while developing the position value in early life, they can begin to develop social consciousness based on adequate knowledge base. Social sciences used to understand the issue. As a multidisciplinary teaching model, a model approach to society very well organized around the theme of expanding environment.  


This will give a more tangible experience to young students. As students progress throughout the year at school, his experience will also provide a broad knowledge base, so that at the high school level, topics can be selected to be studied without the need to materialize in concrete. 

Models of teaching social approach should be cross-cultural, or multicultural in order to help students realize the generality of the many problems that done by groups who reside in large cities. Encouragement of the use of this approach is that it can provide an adequate basic knowledge so that students can deal with controversial issues and capable of decision-making easier in researching the issue.
