Shalat dan keutamaannya bagi kita Umat muslim

Shalat merupakan salah satu bentuk interaksi kita manusia (sebagai makhluk ciptaan-Nya) dengan Sang Pencipta. Shalat merupakan bentuk ritual religi yang kita lakukan sebagai umat islam sebagai salah satu bentuk "action" atas perintah Sang Pencipta, Allah SWT.

Dalam banyak hadis, Nabi Muhammad SAW telah memberikan peringatan keras kepada orang yang suka meninggalkan salat, diantaranya ia bersabda: "Perjanjian yang memisahkan kita dengan mereka adalah salat. Barangsiapa yang meninggalkan salat, maka berarti dia telah kafir. Orang yang meninggalkan salat maka pada hari kiamat akan disandingkan bersama dengan orang-orang laknat, berdasarkan hadis berikut ini: "Barangsiapa yang menjaga salat maka ia menjadi cahaya, bukti dan keselamatan baginya pada hari kiamat dan barangsiapa yang tidak menjaganya maka ia tidak mendapatkan cahaya, bukti dan keselamatan dan pada hari kiamat ia akan bersama Qarun, Fir'aun, Haman dan Ubay bin Khalaf.

Ketika kedudukan shalat begitu tinggi dalam islam, tentunya secara logika pasti ada sesuatu yang membuat bahwa shalat itu begitu spesial diantara ibadah-ibadah yang diperintahkan kepada kita umat islam. Hal yang spesial itu lebih kita dengar dengan istlah "keutamaan shalat", dan bukan saja untuk pribadi, keluarga muslim, atau bahkan hanya untuk masyarakat muslim melainkan untuk semua manusia yang ada di sekitar kita (amatan nas). Sehingga ajaran islam memang benar-benar sebagai rahmatan lil alamin (rahmat bagi seluruh alam) yang dapat dirasakan oleh semuanya.

Muhammad Abu Ayyas dalam bukunya yang berjudul "Keajaiban Shalat Dhuha" menuliskan mengenai keutamaan shalat bagi yang mengerjakan yang diambil dari buku berjudul " Manzilatu Ash Sholah Fil Islam " karya Sa`id Ali bin Wahf Al Qahthani, berikut keutamaannya:

1. Shalat dapat mencegah perbuatan yang keji dan mungkar. 
2. Shalat adalah perbuatan yang paling utama setelah dua kalimat syahadat.
3. Shalat menghapus segala kesalahan.
4. Shalat pembersih noda keburukan.
5. Shalat memberikan cahaya kepada pelakunya.
6. Shalat mampu mengangkat beberapa derajat dan dihapuskan dosa-dosa bagi yang mengerjakan.
7. Mendapat kelembutan Rasulullah SAW.
8. Allah mengangkat derajat dan menghapus dosa bagi orang-orang yang berjalan untuk melakukan Shalat.
9. Dihapuskan dosa sebelumnya.
10. Malaikat memberi shalawat kepada orang yang melakukan shalat.
11. Menunggunya merupakan ribath di jalan Allah SWT.
12. Pahalanya sama dengan pahala orang yang menunaikan haji.
13. Datang terlambat berjamaah (masbuq), sudah termasuk mengikuti dan mendapatkan pahala orang yang berjamaah.
